The proprietors of The Bell, Mike Hendry and Jennifer Allott have a combined experience of 25 years working in the hospitality industry. They bring this experience, together with Max the dog, to create what they believe to be a proper pub.
The Bell is an 18th Century country pub located on the village green in Shenington, a picturesque village in rural North Oxfordshire on the edge of the Cotswold escarpment. First opened in 1700 this traditional English inn has provided a place to eat and drink for locals and travellers alike. Built with distinctive local Ironstone the pub has a log fire, original flagstones and exposed beams.
Under new ownership since January 2016 The Bell aims to provide good food and a warm welcome with an emphasis on freshly prepared, quality ingredients. Come and enjoy a pint of local ale or a good glass of wine with delicious food in a relaxed and informal village pub. Dogs, children and muddy boots are always welcome.
